But you may be wondering how to get the best results when applying Venco Clear X – to ensure that you get your money’s worth. Here are some of our top tips for using our cleaning products. Follow them, and you’re sure to get a bright, beautiful, clear glass finish!
-
Make Sure To Choose The Right Buffing Pad
First things first, you’ll want to make sure that you have the right buffing pad for your particular needs. The Venco Clear X kit comes with both a red buffing pad and a white buffing pad.
The white pad is designed for smaller stains and scratches, and it has a more fine design that makes it better for such applications.
However, the red pad is much more robust and durable, with a larger grain that makes it better for buffing away significant stains and scratches. Make sure you choose the right pad for your window, to get the best results.
-
Consider Using A Power Buffer For Larger Windows
If you have your own power buffer and buffing pads, you can feel free to use them to apply Venco Clear X. We recommend using a light-to-medium buffing pad.
You should make sure that your chosen buffing pad is brand-new. You don’t want to use a pad that has been used to buff fiberglass or any other material, as this could cause scratches and damage to your glass.
Apply the compound to the pad, and apply the pad to wet glass in a consistent, circular motion, avoiding prolonged contact with any particular area of the glass surface.
A power buffer is usually the best choice for larger windows, or windows that have serious stains, mineral deposits, and scratches. You’ll be able to save time, and get better results.
-
Don’t Be Afraid To Re-Apply The Marine Window Polish/Stain Remover
Some stains may require multiple applications of Venco Clear X for permanent removal. This is normal – and in some cases, you may even need to apply 3+ coats of window polish and stain remover to get rid of the most difficult stains.
-
Make Sure The Glass Is Completely Clean Before Applying The Glass Protector
One common error that is made when using Venco Clear X is failing to clean the glass adequately before the Venco Clear Guard product is applied. Use a toothbrush and rags to remove all remaining Venco Window Polish/Stain remover from the entire window
In addition, it’s often a good idea to rinse and wipe the window down with purified water, and a clean rag or microfiber cloth. This ensures all potential debris is removed before the Clear Guard is applied – which results in a better, stronger hold.
